About the role

Senior Autism Practitioner (Team Leader)

Location: Lanark, South West Area (Office & Community-based)

Contract: Full-time (37 hours/week) | Shift pattern including evenings, weekends, and on-call duties

Salary: £34,939-£35,505 per annum (Progress to £37,434 at your own pace) | Ref: SA1200

Are you a compassionate, dynamic leader in social care? We are seeking a dedicated Senior Autism Practitioner to lead a team supporting over 48 autistic adults across housing support, residential, and transitional services.


The Role

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will coach, mentor, and lead a team of Autism Practitioners to deliver exceptional, outcome-based care. Responsibilities include service planning, recruitment, multi-agency collaboration, safeguarding, and maintaining robust digital records. You will also participate in the regular on-call rota.


What You'll Need
  • Experience: Background in supporting autistic individuals alongside supervisory/management experience in social care.

  • Skills: Excellent communication, IT proficiency (MS Word/Excel), and strong coaching abilities.

  • Qualifications: SVQ Level 4 in Health & Social Care and Leadership/Management qualification (or willingness to complete, fully funded).

  • Requirements: Full UK driving licence, SSSC registration, and PVG scheme membership.
