MK Personnel Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client in Bletchley for an experienced CNC Setter/Operator to join their busy and growing manufacturing team.

The Role

As a CNC Setter/Operator, you’ll be responsible for setting, operating and maintaining CNC lathes to manufacture precision components to exact customer specifications. You’ll work from engineering drawings, carry out quality inspections and ensure production runs efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC lathes.
• Manufacture precision engineered components to specification.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Select, change and set tooling as required.
• Carry out first-off inspections and in-process quality checks.
• Use measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers and gauges.
• Make minor program offsets and machine adjustments where required.
• Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and productivity.
• Keep the work area clean, organised and safe.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience setting and operating CNC lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Reliable with excellent attendance and timekeeping.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a busy manufacturing environment.

Hours & Pay

• Monday to Thursday: 7:45am – 4:30pm
• Friday: 7:45am – 3:30pm (early finish)
• £15.00 – £16.00 per hour (depending on experience)
• Overtime opportunities available.
