Year 6 SEND Teaching Assistant (1:1)

Location: DN3, Doncaster
Hours: Part Time – 2 or 3 days per week (school can be flexible)
Start Date: September

Provide Education is recruiting a caring and committed 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support a Year 6 pupil with Autism at a welcoming primary school in the DN3 area of Doncaster.

This is a rewarding part-time opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children with additional needs thrive both academically and socially. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCO to provide consistent, tailored support throughout the school day.

The Role

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil with Autism.
• Adapt learning activities to meet the pupil’s individual needs.
• Encourage engagement, independence, and confidence in the classroom.
• Support with emotional regulation and promote positive behaviour.
• Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENDCO, and wider school staff.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience supporting children with Autism and/or other SEND is desirable.
• Calm, patient, and nurturing approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential.
• Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
