Provide Education is recruiting a Cover Teacher to work at a welcoming secondary school in Barnsley, part of a well-established Multi-Academy Trust.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and adaptable Teacher looking for regular work within one school. The role offers flexibility, with work available from 1 to 5 days per week, depending on your availability and the school’s cover requirements.

This opportunity is ideal for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to gain valuable classroom experience, as well as experienced teachers seeking a better work-life balance, reduced workload, or the flexibility that supply teaching offers. The Role
As a Cover Teacher, you will:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Cover a variety of subjects as required.
• Maintain a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures.
• Provide clear handover notes for teaching staff.
• Build positive relationships with students and become a valued member of the school community.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will:

• Have previous experience teaching or delivering lessons in a secondary school.
• Be confident managing a classroom independently.
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or have relevant classroom experience.
• Be flexible, reliable and available to work between 1 and 5 days per week.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one through Provide Education.
• Hold a full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).
