SEN Learning Support Assistant (3 Days Per Week)
📍 Horsham, West Sussex🕒 8:30am – 3:30pm, 3 Days Per Week💷 £93 per day
A welcoming and supportive primary school in the heart of Horsham is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis.
This rewarding role involves providing 1:1 support for a child with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Global Developmental Delay (GDD). The successful candidate will play a key role in helping the pupil access learning, develop social skills, and achieve positive outcomes both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day.
Adapt learning activities to suit the child’s individual needs.
Promote engagement, independence, and positive learning behaviours.
Support emotional regulation and implement agreed behaviour strategies when required.
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider school team.
Build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting.
Experience working with pupils with Autism and additional learning needs.
A calm, patient, and nurturing approach.
Confidence managing and supporting children who may display challenging behaviours when dysregulated.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
