Location: Plymouth
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum, and £5000 annual bonus, plus an excellent benefits package.
Bridgelink Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a forward-thinking and ambitious children’s residential care provider to recruit an experienced Registered Manager for one of their specialist children’s homes in Plymouth.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team supporting children and young people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs, delivering exceptional person-centred care that enables every young person to achieve their full potential.

The Role
As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the leadership, management and day-to-day operation of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding and regulatory compliance are maintained at all times.
Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will lead, inspire and develop your staff, ensuring children receive outstanding, person-centred support while driving continuous improvement and achieving positive outcomes for every young person.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day management of the children’s home.
- Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations, Children’s Homes Regulations and all safeguarding requirements.
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care tailored to each child’s individual needs.
- Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing residential care team through supervision, coaching and ongoing professional development.
- Promote positive outcomes for children through effective care planning and partnership working.
- Develop strong relationships with families, Local Authorities, education providers and healthcare professionals.
- Manage the home’s staffing, budgets and resources effectively.
- Drive continuous quality improvement, ensuring the home consistently delivers outstanding standards of care.
- Promote a positive, inclusive and supportive culture for both children and staff.
- Work alongside senior leaders to contribute to the continued growth and development of the organisation.
About You
We’re looking for an experienced and compassionate leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional care for children with additional needs.
You will have:
- Previous experience working within a children’s residential care setting.
- Experience in a management role, ideally as a Deputy Manager or Registered Manager.
- Experience supporting children and young people with learning disabilities, autism and/or complex needs.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding legislation and person-centred care practices.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to build, motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- A genuine commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people.
