Care Worker (Domiciliary Care)


Location:
Woodbridge, Suffolk

Salary: Up to £28,080 per annum, plus paid mileage, paid holiday and excellent career development opportunities.

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shifts: Average of 8 hours per day between 7:00am and 10:00pm, including weekends. Rotas are issued two weeks in advance to help you plan your work-life balance.

The Role

As a Care Worker, you’ll provide compassionate, high-quality support to people in their own homes, helping them maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.

No two days are the same. You’ll build meaningful relationships with the people you support while assisting them with personal care, daily living activities, companionship and community access, always delivering care that is tailored to each individual’s needs and wishes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care within clients’ own homes.
  • Support with personal care, including washing, dressing, bathing, toileting and medication assistance.
  • Assist with meal preparation, light household duties, shopping and other daily living tasks.
  • Encourage and promote independence, helping clients remain in control of their own lives.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support.
  • Escort clients to appointments, social activities and community outings when required.
  • Monitor clients’ wellbeing and promptly report any concerns or changes.
  • Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
  • Work closely with families and healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Deliver care in accordance with company policies, CQC Fundamental Standards and safeguarding legislation.

About You

We’re looking for caring, reliable and compassionate individuals who genuinely enjoy helping others.

You will have:

  • A caring and empathetic nature with excellent communication skills.
  • A commitment to delivering outstanding person-centred care.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • The flexibility to work a variety of shifts between 7:00am and 10:00pm, including weekends.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team.
  • Previous care experience is welcomed, although full training and ongoing support will be provided for the right candidates.
