With a dedicated team and supportive ownership, this is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager ready to take the next step into management, or an existing Nursery Manager looking for a fresh challenge.

A structured development plan and ongoing support will be provided, with a salary review once agreed performance targets have been successfully achieved.

The Role

As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, education and safeguarding are maintained at all times.

Working alongside an experienced leadership team, you’ll inspire and develop your staff, maintain compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, and create an environment where both children and employees can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the nursery.
• Inspire, motivate and develop the nursery team to deliver exceptional childcare and education.
• Ensure full compliance with the EYFS framework, safeguarding legislation and all statutory requirements.
• Maintain outstanding standards in health & safety, safeguarding and quality assurance.
• Support staff recruitment, induction, supervision and performance management.
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers through excellent communication and partnership working.
• Monitor children’s learning and development, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement and prepare the nursery for future Ofsted inspections.
• Support occupancy growth, budgeting and the overall operational success of the nursery.
• Promote a positive, inclusive and nurturing environment where children feel safe, valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.

About You

We’re looking for an inspirational leader with a genuine passion for Early Years education.

You will have:

• Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential).
• Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification (or working towards) is desirable.
• Previous experience as a Nursery Manager, Deputy Nursery Manager, Third in Charge, or an experienced Senior Room Leader ready to progress.
• Excellent knowledge of the EYFS framework.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• A genuine passion for helping children achieve the very best start in life.
