About the role
THE ROLE:
An excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Regulatory Lawyer to provide expert legal advice on complex Fitness to Practise matters. Acting as a senior legal adviser, you will oversee high risk and sensitive casework, ensuring investigations and hearing preparation are conducted to the highest professional standards.
You will be responsible for monitoring the quality, compliance and performance of external legal providers, using management information and performance data to drive effective case progression, resource planning and continuous improvement. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will contribute to governance initiatives, policy development and wider organisational strategy, while deputising for senior leadership when required.
THE CANDIDATE:
Applications are welcomed from qualified Solicitors or Barristers with a minimum of 5 years' experience and a strong background in Fitness to Practise matters within a regulatory environment.
The successful candidate will possess excellent technical legal knowledge, sound judgement and significant experience advising on complex regulatory investigations and proceedings. You will also have proven leadership and people management skills, together with previous experience overseeing and managing external legal providers.
