About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Primary School Teacher to join our warm, inclusive school community in Small Heath. This full‑time role is available immediately and is ideal for someone who is passionate about early learning and committed to helping young children build strong foundations for future success.
Role Overview
Working from 8:30am to 3:30pm, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality teaching across Key Stage 1, supporting pupils academically, socially and emotionally. You will work closely with colleagues and families to ensure every child feels valued, supported and encouraged to achieve their best.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach engaging KS1 lessons that follow the national curriculum and inspire curiosity
- Create an inclusive classroom where every child feels safe, calm and confident
- Monitor and assess progress, adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs
- Support children’s independence and help them develop positive learning habits
- Work collaboratively with staff and families to support each child’s development
Person Specification
We are looking for a teacher who brings energy, commitment and a child‑centred approach.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching KS1 (EYFS experience is an advantage)
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for early education
- Confident behaviour management and excellent organisation
- A genuine desire to help children learn, grow and succeed
