Part‑Time Teaching Assistant – Year 1 & 2 (Long Term)

Zest Education is delighted to be working with a warm and supportive primary school in Newcastle-under-Lyme to recruit a part‑time Teaching Assistant to support across Year 1 and Year 2. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about early learning and looking for a consistent, long‑term role within a nurturing school environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will:

• Support teaching and learning across Year 1 and Year 2.
• Deliver small‑group activities and 1:1 support where needed.
• Assist with phonics, early reading, writing, and numeracy tasks.
• Help create a calm, engaging, and structured learning environment.
• Support behaviour management and daily classroom routines.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with KS1 pupils or within an early primary setting.
• Is confident supporting learning in Years 1 and 2.
• Communicates clearly and builds positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Shows patience, enthusiasm, and a proactive approach.
• Is committed to part‑time, long‑term work and making a meaningful impact.
