About the role

We've got a great opportunity for a long term temp role within the Animal and Planet Health Agency, to join a fast-paced office, working as part of the admin team.


Overview:
- Fulltime Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
- Long term Temporary ongoing role
- Pay - £13.47 per Hour
- Location - Yorkshire
- Start date ASAP

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
List the duties of role including any specific skills that are required:

  • Communicate clearly, confidently and professionally in both written and verbal formats demonstrating proficient use of email and telephone skills as key communication channels within the role when liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Use approved knowledge base, content cloud+, and local guidance to provide accurate and confident responses to customer enquiries, manage expectation, and to resolve queries efficiently and ensuring customer records are updated.
  • Input, update and maintain data across systems sharing information appropriately in line with policy and data-handling requirements, ensuring accuracy, and compliance with data-protection standards.
  • Produce and issue appropriate documentation as required in line with policy.
  • Take responsibility for delivering within agreed timescales administrative duties including but not limited to; personal and shared mailbox monitoring, handling customer enquiries, and data entry into systems, checking quality output and maintain trackers.
  • Undertake additional duties as required to meet operational priorities, including any reasonable task assigned by line management supporting critical functions such as disease outbreak responses.
  • Identify areas where administrative processes could be improved to enhance efficiency and customer service.
  • Support colleagues by sharing knowledge, best practice, and offering guidance where needed.

Respond positively to change and contribute to a supportive and collaborative team environment
Essential Experience

  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to handle telephone and email enquiries professionally and confidently to learn, understand and use role-related information accurately.
  • Strong organisational abilities, able to prioritise work and manage competing demands.
  • Good attention to detail with high standards of accuracy in data entry and document production with attention to detail.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team.
  • Flexibility and resilience in a fast paced and reactive environment.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous administrative or contact centre experience.
  • Experience using bespoke systems e.g. those related to licensing, surveillance, or import/export processes.
  • Experience supporting operational or regulatory work.
