People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Retail Assistant to join our well-established client based in Solihull.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering a permanent contract, a salary of £26,437 per annum, full-time hours, an employee discount, a company pension scheme, full training and genuine opportunities for long-term career progression. Due to the location of the site, access to your own transport is essential. The successful candidate must also be flexible to work weekends and Bank Holidays on a rota basis.

This role would suit candidates with experience as a Retail Assistant, Retail Sales Assistant, Shop Assistant, Customer Assistant, Store Assistant, Sales Assistant, Retail Advisor, Customer Service Assistant, Store Operative, Sales Associate, or Retail Team Member.

Shifts

 • Permanent position
 • Full-time – 40 hours per week
 • Flexible shift pattern working 5 days out of 7
 • Weekend and Bank Holiday working required on a rota basis

Salary

 • £26,437 per annum
 • Equivalent to £12.71 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Retail Assistant, your duties will include but are not limited to:

 • Delivering outstanding customer service and creating a positive shopping experience
 • Greeting customers and assisting with product enquiries
 • Operating tills and processing customer transactions accurately
 • Replenishing stock and ensuring shelves are fully stocked and well presented
 • Maintaining high standards of merchandising and store presentation
 • Receiving, checking and organising deliveries
 • Carrying out stock replenishment and stock rotation
 • Keeping the shop floor, stockroom and customer areas clean, tidy and safe
 • Handling customer queries and resolving issues professionally
 • Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve store objectives
 • Following company policies and Health & Safety procedures at all times

Desirable Experience

 • Previous experience within a retail or customer service environment
 • Experience operating tills and handling cash transactions
 • Experience working towards customer service or sales targets
