FLT Counterbalance Driver

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an FLT Counterbalance Driver to join our well-established client based in Tamworth.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering £13.67 per hour, Monday to Friday rotating shifts, weekly pay, overtime opportunities, excellent on-site facilities and genuine opportunities for long-term career progression.

This role would suit candidates with experience as an FLT Counterbalance Driver, Counterbalance Forklift Driver, Forklift Truck Driver, FLT Operator, Warehouse Operative, Warehouse FLT Driver, Counterbalance Operator, or Material Handler.

Shifts

 • Monday to Friday
 • Rotating weekly shifts: 06:00 – 14:00 / 14:00 – 22:00

Day-to-Day Duties

As an FLT Counterbalance Driver, your duties will include but are not limited to:

 • Operating Counterbalance Forklift Trucks safely and efficiently
 • Loading and unloading vehicles using Counterbalance FLTs
 • Using handheld PDA scanners to accurately process stock movements
 • Labelling products and completing promotional builds
 • Moving stock throughout the warehouse safely and efficiently
 • Conducting quality checks to ensure company standards are maintained
 • Preparing customer orders accurately and on time
 • Following all Health & Safety procedures and site rules

Essential Skills

The successful candidate will have:

 • A valid Counterbalance FLT licence (RTITB, ITSSAR or equivalent if required by the client)
 • Basic spoken and written English
 • Good communication skills
 • Strong attention to detail
 • A reliable, punctual and hardworking approach to work
 • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
 • The ability to carry out physically demanding duties throughout the shift
 • Experience loading and unloading trailers using a Counterbalance Forklift Truck and pump truck

Desirable Experience

 • Previous experience working within a warehouse or logistics environment
 • Experience using handheld PDA scanners
 • Previous experience operating Counterbalance Forklift Trucks within a fast-paced warehouse
