Assembly Operative Role

We have an exciting opportunity to work for a world Leading manufacturer. Pay rates from £13 per hour. The role of Assembly Operator in the Chelmsford area.

Shifts for Assembly Operator:

• Monday – Thursday 6.30-15.30
• Friday 6.30-12.30

Pay :

• From £13ph
• Paid weekly
• 2×10 min break paid. 1x30min unpaid

Key Personal Requirements

• Ability to work with and understand production documentation eg procedures and assembly drawings.
• Comfortable with different types of assembly jobs. (We do not produce one particular type of assembly but work as a sub-contractor for our customers)
• Conscientious and diligent towards the quality of their work
• Punctual and prepared to work overtime if required
• Ability to work alongside others
• Good eye sight and not colour blind
• Maybe required to work in standing position, generally seated work but some assemblies will not allow seats
• Confidence in using lifting equipment and pallet trucks
• Accepting of using Personal Protective Clothing (PPE)

Key Skills

1. Ability to use general mechanical assembly tools
2. Experience of wire crimping, these can be extremely small and delicate operations.
3. Ability to solder with latest lead free solders
4. IT experience extremely advantageous
5. Confident using electrical test equipment
6. Experience of using automated equipment
7. Understand the importance of calibration status on all equipment
