The Ministry of Defence now advertises for a Band 7 Clinical Physiologist Manager position based in England at the Aviation Medicine Consultation Service (AMCS), RAF Henlow.
This position is advertised at 37.5 hours per week.

AMCS is part of the Royal Air Force Centre of Aerospace Medicine (RAF CAM), and is an inclusive, dedicated organisation working to provide outstanding care to our entitled personnel.
AMCS provides an assessment and occupational management service for tri-Service aircrew, which generates a rapid return to fitness for role and flying duties. His service is essential for maintaining operational output in the tri-Service aviation environment.
Core aspects of the role are to perform, supervise, interpret and report a broad range of cardiac investigations, including: 12 Lead Electrocardiographs (ECG), Exercise Tolerance Testing (ETT), Ambulatory ECG Analysis, Event Recorder Analysis, 24 hour Blood Pressure Monitors (with ECG) and diagnostic Echocardiograms, in accordance with best Academy for Healthcare Science (AHCS) professional standards.
Additional aspects of the role include conducting Quality Improvement activities, including healthcare governance, audit, and research, as well as completing additional administrative duties to enable safe, patient focused care.

Registrations and Memberships
Essential
Approved as a member of Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists (RCCP) or Academy for Healthcare Science (AHCS).
Accredited member of the British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) or European Society of Echocardiography (ESE).

Qualifications
Essential
BSc (Hons) in Clinical Physiology (Cardiology) or have equivalent experience
Immediate Life Support (ILS) Training
International Certification of Digital Literacy (ICDL) or equivalent
Experience
Essential
Proficient in the fitting and removal of 24 hour Ambulatory ECG Monitors, Event Recorders and 24 hour Blood Pressure Monitors,
12 Lead ECG.
Experience with ECG interpretation
Experience with ambulatory ECG analysis
Experience with event recorder analysis
Experience with exercise tolerance testing (ETT)
24 hour blood pressure monitors
Experience with echocardiogram testing and analysis
Desirable
Proficient in the use of Defence Medical Information Capability Program (DMICP)
Proficient in both spoken and written English language in a medical and/or clinical setting
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
