Manufacturing Engineer

Our client, a key player in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a contract role. This position plays a crucial role in a major defence program, which aims to deliver Submarine capability to Australia..

Key Responsibilities:

• Specialist in materials and manufacturing, with a focus on ferrous metals.
• Understanding heavy plate production methods, ideally including in got and continuous casting.
• Ensuring compliance with materials specifications and standards through auditing processes.
• Delivering, producing, and/or reviewing experimental test plans.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in the manufacturing sector, especially with ferrous metals.
• Proficiency in production methods for heavy plate across various industries.
• In-depth understanding of auditing processes and material standards assurance.
• Ability to develop and assess experimental test plans.
• Willingness to work out of hours as required by the programme.
• Availability to work from the Abbey Wood office at least three days per week.
