We are seeking an experienced Test Technician to join their team on a contract basis. T

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product (software, hardware and mechanics) assembly, troubleshooting, and testing
  • Executing tests and writing reports
  • Designing, constructing, maintaining, and calibrating test equipment
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment
  • Implementing continuous improvement practices for work processes and the working environment
  • Identifying and managing continuous improvement of equipment and test methods
  • Assisting development engineers with product analysis, including FMEAs and design reviews
  • Ensuring work adheres to company quality standards and national/international standards
  • Ensuring that all work is carried out safely

Job Requirements:

  • Understanding of electronic circuits, with experience in designing simple circuits
  • Experience in assembling, troubleshooting, and testing electronic products
  • Proficiency with electronic test equipment, including DVMs, oscilloscopes, and data loggers
  • Ability to perform soldering and rework techniques for SMD components
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

Preferred (but not essential) Skills:

  • Experience in dyno preparation and maintenance
  • Ability to use CAD design for general fixtures and fittings
  • Experience with high voltage (> 60V) and/or high current (> 100A) products
  • Experience with EMC testing and knowledge of relevant standards (e.g., REG10, ISO16750, CISPR 25)
  • Experience in thermal and environmental testing
  • Background in automotive product development and testing
  • Mechanical skills, including assembly and creation of one-off parts, and use of machine shop tools
  • Experience with high-volume products
  • Experience in HALT/HAAS testing

Qualifications:


A HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical and Electronic Engineering is required. Relevant experience may also be considered.
