Senior Regulatory Reporting Analyst Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or another quantitative discipline preferred. Relevant industry experience will also be considered.
Experience in insurance regulatory reporting, compliance, or insurance operations.
Knowledge of WCPOLS, WCSTAT, NCCI, and state bureau reporting requirements.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including filtering, sorting, and analysing data.
Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while working across several systems and applications.
Experience working with regulatory agencies and cross functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to support and mentor colleagues while driving process improvements.
Job Summary / Introduction An opportunity is available for a Senior Regulatory Reporting Analyst to support regulatory reporting and compliance activities across multiple jurisdictions. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, quality, and timely submission of regulatory data, including WCPOLS, WCSTAT, NCCI, and state bureau reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, resolve reporting issues, improve processes, and provide guidance to the wider team. Detailed Job Description Key responsibilities include:
Collect, validate, and prepare data from multiple internal systems for regulatory submissions.
Review reporting data, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate with internal teams to resolve data quality issues.
Submit reports to regulatory agencies and industry bureaus within required deadlines.
Investigate and resolve reporting errors identified by regulators, industry bureaus, or internal stakeholders.
Act as a liaison between internal teams and external parties to ensure reporting issues are resolved efficiently.
Provide guidance and support to team members on regulatory reporting processes and corrections.
Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy and streamline processes.
Maintain departmental procedures and ensure process documentation remains up to date.
Assist with the preparation of management reports and reporting metrics.
Support additional regulatory reporting and compliance activities as required.
