School Caretaker

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive School Caretaker to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of our educational facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including maintaining cleanliness and safety throughout the school premises, performing routine inspections, and addressing maintenance issues promptly. You will play a crucial role in providing a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors by ensuring that all areas are well-kept and secure.

Your responsibilities will include overseeing the upkeep of classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and outdoor spaces, as well as managing waste disposal and recycling efforts. You will also be tasked with minor repairs, such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaks, and maintaining heating and cooling systems. Additionally, you will assist with setting up equipment for events and ensuring that safety protocols are followed at all times. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively are essential, as is a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment for all.

The successful candidate will possess a good understanding of building maintenance and cleaning procedures, along with a practical approach to problem-solving. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred. A valid driver’s license and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, may be required.
