Job summary

Help build the National Housing Bank

The National Housing Bank (NHB) is a new government-backed financial institution, operating as a subsidiary of Homes England, established to unlock investment and accelerate housing delivery across England.

Job description

We're looking for two Directors – Guarantees to join the NHB Senior Leadership Team and help shape one of the UK's most significant housing finance platforms.

Salary: c. £140,000–£150,000 plus benefits, depending on skills and experience.

Reporting to: Executive Director, Guarantees

You'll play a leading role in overseeing more than £10bn of existing guarantee exposure and supporting deployment of £5.5bn of new guarantee capacity, helping unlock institutional investment into housing and regeneration at scale.

One role will have a greater focus on business growth and origination, while the other will include additional responsibility for portfolio oversight and programme performance.

Person specification

About You

You'll bring significant experience in guarantees, lending, investment, structured finance, real estate finance, infrastructure or related markets, together with the credibility and judgement to operate at a senior level across the public and private sectors.

Most importantly, you'll be excited by the opportunity to help shape a new institution with a clear purpose and support housing delivery at scale.
