Atkins Search have an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor vacancy to join an award-winning fitout and refurbishment contractor based in Manchester.

Role

As a Quantity Surveyor working as part of an established business and reporting to the Operations Director, you will be responsible for the delivery of multiple projects throughout the region across varied sectors within fitout and refurbishments.

Working alongside an established team, you will be supported to take ownership of interesting projects, to ensure the most commercially viable outcome is achieved.

The successful Quantity Surveyor will be operating in a trusted environment, operating autonomously to take ownership of various schemes.

Responsibilities

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing project costs, ensuring profitability, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and suppliers. You’ll be responsible for:

Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents
Managing contracts, valuations, and variations
Conducting site visits and financial reporting
Negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers
Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices

I’m keen to speak with experienced Quantity Surveying professionals with a background in commercial fitouts, refurbishments, or transferable skills from similar sectors. Ideal candidates will have:

A degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
Experience in cost control, and procurement
Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
