Atkins Search are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a driven Commercial Manager to join one of the region’s leading Roofing and Cladding specialist Subcontractors based in Derby.

Experience in managing flat roofing systems, cladding and facades packages is highly advantageous.

Role

As the Commercial Manager reporting into the Directors, you will be responsible for preparing estimates and delivering various projects across the construction industry on a national basis, based out of the Derbyshire office.

You will be managing a team of Estimators and Quantity Surveyors to help with day-to-day support, overseeing the delivery of various projects, alongside managing your own, larger schemes.

Responsibilities

Lead on collating costs and maximising value on varied projects
Manage the preparation of target cost for projects, including the associated risks
Provide commercial input for projects
Manage the preparation of the monthly CVR and associated commercial reports
Present commercial progress to Directors
Proactively develop and coach your team members to ensure development of individuals
Person

The ideal candidate will come from a roofing and/or cladding background with strong experience with flat roofing systems. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious professional looking to progress their career.

Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or comparable qualification
Excellent JCT knowledge
Excellent communication skills
Excellent management abilities
Positive, driven and team-oriented attitude
Ability to operate autonomously and as part of wider teams across the business
