Site Manager

Overview

A brilliant opportunity for an experienced Site Manager has become available with a reputable fitout and interiors firm based in the Midlands. This role is to manage the successful delivery of a wide range of fitout projects.

Due to the nature of the industry, the successful candidate will be expected to lodge away for the duration of the project in Bristol.

Responsibilities

Liaising with clients and reporting on progress to staff and the public
Supervising construction workers and hiring subcontractors
Buying materials for each phase of the project
Monitoring build costs and project progress
Conducting quality and safety inspections
Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings
Maintaining quality control checks
Motivating the workforce
Day to day problem solving and dealing with any issues that arise
Using specialist project management computer programmes
Working on-site in all weathers, at clients’ businesses or in a site office
Person

Strong Communication skills
Person management/Delegation skills
Experience delivering a mixture of projects in the fitout and interiors sector
A good understanding of the building regulations, local authority agreements
A methodical, professional, and collaborative approach
Ability to organise your workload
Ability to create a positive and organised site
SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid, Temporary works
Knowledge of contract conditions and law within the industry
You will have sound commercial awareness with a commitment to health & safety and risk management
