Role

Operating as the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for multiple projects in the business with values of circa £10M to £20M. As the Contracts Manager, you will be supported by site delivery team to ensure quality and progress is maintained throughout delivery.

As the Contracts Manager, you will manage anywhere between 2-4 projects across the UK consisting of new build multi-room apartment, extra care facilities and retail unit schemes.

Responsibilities

Managing the efficient and economical execution of contracts under the main contract conditions, producing the maximum return to the company to promote on-going and future work with clients and consultants.
Working in conjunction with the site team, ensuring accurate construction whilst maintaining quality and progress
Provide sound advice, guidance and support to the project team throughout pre-construction and construction phases
Promote the well-being of your teams and ensure that an inclusive workplace where diversity of thought, backgrounds and experience is actively encouraged and achieved
Manage multiple Projects concurrently with a hands-on and positive approach
Person

The ideal candidate for the Contracts Manager job will have a proven track record as a Contracts Manager in a construction main contracting environment, delivering similar projects. You will also need to be proactive, positive and confident communicating at all levels and able to work as part of a team.

Strong Communication skills
Person management/Delegation skills
Experience delivering D&B new build projects with values of circa £10M to £20M
A good understanding of the building regulations, local authority agreements
A methodical, professional, and collaborative approach
Ability to organise your workload
Ability to create a positive and organised site
SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid, Temporary works
Knowledge of contract conditions and law within the industry
Sound commercial awareness with a commitment to health & safety and risk management
