Atkins Search are working with a fantastic engineering consultancy based in Sheffield to find a Principal Structural Engineer to join their growing team, taking a lead on the structural design projects they deliver for their clients.

Role

As a Principal Structural Engineer within this business you will be working on a variety of interesting projects including heritage, commercial, industrial, student accommodation and residential schemes. Project are varying in size, giving an interesting workload to their Engineers.

You will be working closely with engineers of all levels, offering mentorship and support to junior members of the team as needed and working directly with company directors on larger projects.

There is fantastic scope for progression within this business as they continue to grow. They have a solid pipeline of work and clear, realistic plans for business growth in the next 5-10 years.

Responsibilities

Duties as a Principal Structural Engineer –

Liaising with a range of clients effectively.
Producing accurate structural calculations.
Report writing.
Structural analysis of a variety of existing structures.
Working closely with a variety of stakeholders in the business.
Working to tight project deadlines.
Supporting the team as required.
Person

BEng/Meng in Structural Engineering or similar.
Chartered status or working towards chartership.
Experience as a Senior/Principal Structural Engineer position.
Excellent communicator at all levels.
Ambitious individual keen on progression within a growing business.
