Associate Director Quantity Surveyor

OVERVIEW

Atkins Search are currently recruiting for an Associate Director Quantity Surveyor to join a highly regarded, professional, multi-sector Construction Consultancy based in Leeds, who are well known for their quality led services, commitment and fantastic company culture.

Please note – if you are a Senior Quantity Surveyor, Executive Quantity Surveyor, Senior Cost Manager, Executive Cost Manager or Associate Quantity Surveyor who is seeking the next step in their career will also be considered for the role of Associate Director Quantity Surveyor.

ROLE

As Associate Director Quantity Surveyor based in Leeds you will be responsible for delivering interesting projects with a hands-on approach throughout the whole project life cycle from inception to completion, ensuring all projects are delivered within budget, on time, and to the client's requirements.

Your duties will include (but not limited to):

Managing a multi-disciplined team consisting of Cost and Project Managers, as well as supporting the Architecture team
Providing advice on procurement strategy, risk management, value engineering and the overall tendering process
Provide advice on contract arrangements
Prepare tender documents
Advising clients on tenders when received, including undertaking a full tender evaluation
Prepare contract documentation
Completing valuations
Change monitoring
Variations
Budget management
Negotiating final accounts
Working closely with the Team and mentoring / working with graduates
Developing existing Client contacts and relationships
Developing new Client contacts and relationships
Assisting with business development where necessary
PERSON

The successful Associate Director Quantity Surveyor will be aligned with the above job description as well as having –

Construction related degree (or equivalent)
Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Associate Director in a Consultancy setting
Chartered status (or working towards)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to develop, build and maintain strong relationships
