Role

As the Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be working as part of a forward-thinking commercial team to deliver a mix of commercial, healthcare, education and residential schemes with values of circa £200k to £10m.  



Working alongside the Senior Quantity Surveyors and Quantity Surveyors, your job will be to support in the delivery of projects in a cost-effective, quality focused manor. Due to the expansion of the business, there are genuine opportunities to progress in your role and build a long-term career.



Responsibilities

Run pre-lets for subcontractors
Process invoices/applications for payments
Support Commercial department as and when required
Receive tenders and assist with the analysis sheet for each trade
Assist with the compiling of tender packages for sub-contract trades
Assist with the issuing of sub-contract orders
Attend site, client and team meetings


Person

The ideal candidate for the Assistant Quantity Surveyor job will have a proven track record as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor in a construction main contracting environment. You will also need to be proactive, positive and confident communicating at all levels and able to work as part of a team.  

Quantity Surveying degree/qualification
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor
JCT contract experience, NEC4 contract experience (desirable but not essential)
Relevant Quantity Surveying experience working for a main contractor on similar projects
Ambitious, career driven attitude
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel
