Atkins Search have been retained by our client who are an established, reputable fit-out specialist contractor based in Nottingham to recruit an Estimator to join their team.

Role



As the Estimator, you will be a key member of the preconstruction and commercial team, focusing on producing competitive tenders across the fit-out sector.



You will be joining an established, market-leading contractor with opportunities to progress as the business continues to grow, working as part of a close-knit team.  



Responsibilities



As the Estimator, you will be delivering varied, competitive tenders across multiple sectors within the fit-out discipline, working as part of an established Commercial team.

Review of tender documentation to establish subcontract trade package and material requirements
Assess tender documentation to compile individual trade package subcontract enquiries
Compilation and issuing of tender enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers
Assessment and alignment of received subcontract tenders
Identify and compile Tender Qualifications / Exclusions
Produce Tender Cost document
Produce take-offs for general works
Pricing of project Preliminaries based on programme duration and identification of preliminary
Person



The ideal candidate will have experience operating as an Estimator on behalf on behalf of a fitout contractor, with experience working on varied schemes as part of this sector.   

Ability to work well under pressure, to meet tight timescales and deadlines
Work well as part of a team as well as the ability to work with own initiative
Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office
Excellent time management and negotiation skills
