We are recruiting an SEN Learning Support Assistant for a September opportunity in Maryport. We are growing our team of dedicated support staff to work with local primary schools, providing vital support for pupils with special educational needs, including Autism, across EYFS and KS1.

Role Details

  • Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support pupils with special educational needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

  • Help children access learning through tailored support and encouragement

  • Work closely with teachers and the wider school team to deliver individual support plans

  • Promote a safe, positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and social development

  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families where appropriate

You'll Be a Good Fit If You...

  • Have experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or SEN Support Assistant

  • Have experience supporting children with Autism or other additional needs

  • Have recent experience working in a UK primary school or similar educational setting

  • Are patient, reliable and adaptable

  • Are passionate about helping children achieve their potential

  • Are available to work full-time from September
