A Star Recruitment is currently seeking reliable and motivated HGV Class 2 Drivers on behalf of a well-established, blue-chip organisation within the transport and logistics sector. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers who are looking to develop their skills and build a long-term career within the industry.
Whether you already have experience or are willing to learn, full training can be provided for Tipper, RoRo (Roll-on Roll-off), and Road Sweeper operations.
The Role
You will be responsible for operating HGV Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently while supporting a range of transport operations including aggregate deliveries, waste transport, and road sweeping services.
Pay & Hours
£15.25 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
£21.50 per hour after 39 hours
Monday to Friday working week

Key Responsibilities
Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles
Transport materials, waste, or equipment to designated locations
Carry out daily vehicle checks (pre- and post-shift)
Complete all paperwork and delivery records accurately
Maintain high safety and compliance standards
Communicate effectively with transport teams and customers
Follow all road safety laws and company procedures
Requirements
Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
Valid Driver CPC
Valid Digital Tachograph card
Minimum 12 months driving experience preferred
Willingness to learn Tipper, RoRo, or Road Sweeper operations
Good knowledge of UK road safety and compliance regulations
Strong communication skills and professional attitude
Additional Requirements (Insurance)
No DR10 convictions
Maximum 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
