Driver Required - Female Support Worker

​We are looking for a compassionate, dedicated, and reliable Female Support Worker to join a small team supporting an adult with learning disabilities and complex support needs in her own home.

This is a highly rewarding role where you will support an individual to live a fulfilling, active, and meaningful life within her local community. Building a trusting relationship, maintaining routines, and providing consistent person-centred support are key aspects of the role.

Location: Rural Preston Area

Hours: This position includes 2 day shifts (08:00 - 22:00)and 2 sleepover shifts per week, providing consistent support as part of a dedicated care team.

Pay Rate:£12.95 per hour

Sleepover Rate:£10.50 per hour

Essential: Full UK Driving Licence with a clean driving record and confidence driving a manual vehicle.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality 1:1 support at home and within the local community.

• Support with personal care, continence care, and daily living activities.

• Administer medication in line with training and company procedures.

• Encourage participation in daily activities, appointments, walks, hydrotherapy sessions, and community outings.

• Support with meal preparation, eating and drinking.

• Monitor health, wellbeing, and changes in behaviour.

• Maintain accurate records using the company's care management system.

• Work closely with family members and healthcare professionals.

• Promote independence, choice, dignity and inclusion at all times.

• Ensure a safe and supportive environment is maintained.

About the Person You Will Support

You will be supporting an adult who is non-verbal and communicates through actions, behaviours and gestures. The successful applicant will need to be patient, observant, calm and able to recognise non-verbal communication cues.

Essential Requirements

• Full UK Driving Licence with a clean driving record.

• Confident driving a manual vehicle.

• A minimum of 6 months' experience working in Health and Social Care within the UK.

• Caring, patient and empathetic nature.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Flexible approach to working hours, including sleepovers.

• Excellent observation and communication skills.

• Commitment to delivering person-centred support.
