School Caretaker

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable School Caretaker to join our team and ensure a clean, safe, and functional environment for students and staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the school premises, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and outdoor areas. Key duties include regular cleaning and sanitization, performing minor repairs, and ensuring that all facilities are in good working order. You will also be responsible for setting up and taking down equipment for school events and activities, as well as managing waste disposal and recycling efforts.

In addition to maintenance tasks, the School Caretaker will monitor the security of the premises, ensuring that all doors and windows are secured after hours. You will also assist in the management of supplies and inventory, reporting any shortages or needs to the appropriate personnel. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong attention to detail. Previous experience in a similar role or in facilities management is preferred, along with a basic understanding of health and safety regulations. Flexibility to work outside of regular hours, when necessary, is also essential.
