Overview

Joneshouse Recruitment is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a well-established 5-bed children’s home supporting young people aged 8–18 with complex needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader to shape a supportive and nurturing environment, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and development for young people.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of a 5-bed children’s residential home

• Create and maintain a positive safeguarding culture focused on achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes

• Support, develop and supervise staff to deliver high-quality care and support

• Ensure the home operates in line with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding standards and relevant legislation

• Promote the educational, emotional and physical wellbeing of young people in care

• Maintain effective relationships with external professionals, families and local authorities

• Ensure accurate record keeping and compliance with regulatory requirements

The Successful Candidate Will Have

• Experience working within children’s residential care

• Proven leadership or management experience within a children’s home setting

• Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding practices

• Ability to lead and motivate teams while maintaining high standards of care

• Passion for supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs

• Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills

Package

• Basic Salary: £50,000 (DOE)

• Registration Bonus: £5,000

• Performance Bonus: Up to £5,000 OTE
