Registered Manager – Family Assessment Centre

Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire (DN4)
Salary: From £55,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

The Opportunity

Joneshouse Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a Family Assessment Centre in Doncaster.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced leader to manage a service focused on supporting families and promoting positive outcomes for both parents and children.

The successful candidate will oversee the operational management of the centre, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations and Family Assessment Centre standards, while creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for families.

About the Role

As Registered Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and management of the centre, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, manage service performance, and work closely with external professionals to ensure families receive the support and assessments required to achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the daily operations of the Family Assessment Centre

• Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations, the Care Standards Act, and Family Assessment Centre Regulations

• Oversee family assessments, ensuring they are fair, transparent, and evidence-based

• Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote safeguarding and positive outcomes

• Recruit, manage, and develop a multidisciplinary staff team

• Deliver regular supervision, training, and professional development for staff

• Lead Ofsted inspections, internal audits, and quality assurance processes

• Work collaboratively with local authorities, social workers, and partner agencies

• Manage service budgets, resources, and operational performance

• Ensure accurate reporting, including risk assessments, regulatory notifications, and family progress reviews

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Health & Social Care (or equivalent)

Experience

• Previous experience as a Registered Manager, or a Deputy Manager ready to step into a Registered Manager position

• Experience working within a Family Assessment Centre or children’s residential setting

Knowledge

• Strong understanding of Ofsted frameworks, safeguarding procedures, and family assessment processes

Skills

• Proven leadership and team management abilities

• Strong communication, organisational, and decision-making skills

• Ability to manage service performance, compliance, and operational responsibilities

Driving Licence

• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required.
