About the role

This is an exciting and varied opportunity to join our dedicated school team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the school buildings and grounds, carrying out minor repairs and liaising with external contractors to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, maintenance, health and safety are maintained at all times.

The role requires the ability to work effectively in a busy school environment, managing competing priorities with efficiency, accuracy and initiative. Applicants should be well organised, possess excellent communication skills and be able to multitask effectively. Previous experience in a similar maintenance or caretaking role is essential, while experience within a school environment would be advantageous. Full training will be provided for the successful candidate.

The position is 30 hours per week (split shift), Monday to Friday, and the post holder will be required to undertake work during school holidays.

What We Offer

As a valued member of our team, we can offer:

  • A permanent contract following the successful completion of a six-month probationary period.
  • Membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme.

Please read the Job Description and Person Specification carefully before applying. If you believe you have the skills and experience we are looking for and would like further information or an informal discussion about the role, please contact the school office on [phone removed] or email [email removed]
