Freelance No.2 Site Manager - Industrial Build Project Kent Start Date: Mid-September Duration: 6 Months Competitive Day Rate Freelance Contract We are recruiting on behalf of a leading main contractor for an experienced No.2 Site Manager to support the delivery of a £11M new build industrial development in Kent. The Project Working alongside the Project Manager, you will play a key role in delivering a new build industrial unit, including: • Groundworks and foundations • Structural steel frame • External envelope • Industrial fit-out • Office fit-out, including M&E installations Key Responsibilities • Support the Project Manager with the day-to-day management of site operations • Coordinate subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards • Monitor Health & Safety compliance, quality and site progress • Assist with programme management, site logistics and sequencing • Maintain accurate site records and progress reporting • Liaise with commercial, technical and design teams throughout the project lifecycle Requirements • Previous experience as a Site Manager or No.2 Site Manager on industrial or commercial new build projects • Strong understanding of steel frame construction and industrial developments • SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid (essential) • Temporary Works Coordinator and Fire Marshal qualifications preferred (or willingness to obtain) • Experience using Procore would be advantageous • Must have access to a laptop and mobile phone What's on Offer? • 6-month freelance contract with a respected main contractor • Competitive day rate • Opportunity to work on a high-quality industrial development • Strong pipeline of future projects for successful candidates If you're available for a mid-September start and have the relevant experience, we'd like to hear from you.
