We are currently looking for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. Your role will be essential in shaping young minds and supporting students with additional needs to achieve their best.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 or small group basis
  • Assist the classroom teacher in creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment
  • Monitor student progress, adapt learning materials, and provide constructive feedback
  • Ability to communicate with, de-escalate, and encourage children with additional needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues and specialists to implement effective individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Maintain regular communication with staff regarding student progress and well-being
  • Contribute to a safe, positive, and supportive wider school community

Requirements:

  • Prior SEN experience, background as a Youth Worker, or being a Graduate looking to enter education are the ideal backgrounds for this role
  • Relevant experience working with young people with 2 professional/proven references
  • An enhanced child DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one)
  • Right to work in the UK - Essential (sponsorship is not available with this role)
  • Strong knowledge of, or a keen interest in, supporting additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or Speech & Language difficulties
  • Being passionate about inclusive education, teaching, and learning
