Detention Custody Officer (DCO)

We are seeking dedicated and vigilant Detention Custody Officers (DCO) to join our team, playing a crucial role in maintaining safety and security within a detention environment. As a DCO, you will be responsible for the supervision of individuals in custody, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures while promoting a respectful and secure atmosphere. Your duties will include conducting regular welfare checks, monitoring activities, and managing any incidents that arise, all while maintaining professionalism and integrity.

In this role, you will be required to work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies to ensure the highest standards of care and security are upheld. You will also be responsible for documenting incidents and preparing reports, as well as engaging with detainees to provide support and guidance. Ideal candidates will possess excellent communication skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a strong commitment to safeguarding the welfare of those in custody. Experience in a similar environment is preferred, but not essential as comprehensive training will be provided to successful applicants.
