About the role
Morson Edge are currently seeking a Project Planner to work on the behalf of one of our reputable Aerospace clients based in Yeovil.Job PurposeYou will work with all the key stakeholders to ensure that any products or bids within the client’s UK Aircraft Centre are planned effectively. You will execute the planning activities undertaken by the client’s UK Aircraft Centre through the bid, initiation, execution and closure phases, and will ensure that all the key stakeholders have clear information on the cost and schedule performance against the plan.Provide support to IPTs (IPT Leaders & CAMS) for developing, monitoring, and analysing the Control Account and IPT plans.Ensure integrity and quality of the schedules are controlled and timely implementations of baseline changes are made.You will be responsible for delighting our customers by providing timely data at the right quality which has integrity and provides all the key stakeholders with the planning and performance information required in order that the client UK Aircraft Centre can deliver its business objectives.You will work proactively to ensure that the team constantly improves its processes and tools in order that it can deliver the required deliverables more efficiently and to a higher quality.Key Job Accountabilities:• Produce and maintain level 2 Final Assembly plans in accordance with the clients UK Aircraft Centre planning process that takes into account the key constraints of build logic and material availability.• Report on schedule, including financial and contractual milestones, and cost performance for all aircraft in production providing timely information at the right level of detail for the various customers including UK Aircraft Centre department managers, the aircraft managers, the aircraft boards and for customers outside of the UK Aircraft Centre organisation such as programme management and finance.• Maintain a technical labour plan in order that for all firm contracts and potential work under the control of the UK Aircraft Centre an estimated cost at completion and a labour profile for technical labour can be produced for all departments within the UK Aircraft Centre with bookers.• Create, maintain and close SAP networks as required• Ensure that all Operations network activities are properly loaded with accurate start and finish dates, budget hours and that activity is being correctly booked against them.• Ensure integrity and quality of the schedules are controlled and timely implementations of baseline changes are made.• Work with all of the Business Performance & Works Analysis team and with other teams around the business to develop and continuously improve the planning and reporting processes in order to meet the needs of the business and standardise processes across where applicable. Ensure that all processes are accurately documented in the team’s departmental instructions.• Build and maintain relationships within the UK Aircraft Centre in order that the Operations Business Control team can work effectively to deliver the team’s deliverables.• You will undertake any other reasonable tasks that the Business Performance & Works Analysis Manager may require of you so long as you have the appropriate skills, knowledge and support to be able to undertake the task.• You are responsible for taking reasonable care of your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work and to co-operate with managers, supervisors and others to enable the company to meet its statutory obligations for health, safety and environment.Skills, Knowledge and Experience:• Computer literate with strong skills in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel• Qualification to a HNC level in a numerical based subject or equivalent relevant experience will be considered.• The ability to demonstrate an understanding of planning techniques such as work breakdown structures, dependencies, risk contingency, resource constraints & forecasting, estimating and level 1 and level 2 planningDesirable• Financial awareness (budgets, cost to date, estimate at completion, variance, cash & turnover milestones)• Knowledge of Earned Value techniques and processes12 month contract37 hours per weekIf you have the required experience for this position, please apply today or contact Lisa Nardiello on [phone removed] for further information.
