Mobile Electrical Technician - Kent Location: Kent Job Type: Full Time Salary: £42k+ + Company Van & Fuel Card + Paid Travel Time + Overtime + Flexible Benefits + On-Call Allowance The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mobile Electrical Technician to join a busy facilities maintenance team working across a prestigious rail contract. This role involves carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across railway stations and associated buildings throughout the South East. A company van is provided, so a full UK driving licence is essential. Successful candidates will also be required to pass a medical assessment and complete training to obtain a PTS (Personal Track Safety) Sentinel Card if they do not already hold one. Benefits• Salary: £42k+ • Company van and fuel card • Paid travel time (excluding the first and last 30 minutes of the day) • Overtime opportunities to increase earnings • On-call allowance • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays • Company pension scheme with employer contributions • Sick pay • Private medical insurance • Employee Assistance Programme with 24/7 wellbeing, counselling and legal support • Flexible benefits including dental insurance, gym memberships, cycle to work scheme, travel insurance and charitable giving options • Ongoing training and personal development opportunities Key Responsibilities• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical works. • Ensure all work is completed safely, following method statements, risk assessments and current health & safety legislation. • Deliver maintenance works within agreed service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs). • Maintain buildings and facilities to a high standard through a proactive maintenance approach. • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and site teams through excellent customer service. • Keep all site documentation accurate and up to date for internal and external audits. • Update the client's CAFM system with accurate maintenance records. • Carry out electrical installation and maintenance work in accordance with current BS7671 Wiring Regulations and industry standards. • Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical and construction safety regulations. Working Hours• 40 hours per week • Monday to Friday • 1 in 6 on-call rota with additional on-call allowance Essential• Full UK Driving Licence • 18th Edition (City & Guilds 2382 or equivalent) • City & Guilds 236 Parts 1 & 2 (or equivalent electrical qualification) Desirable• Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship • City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing • Personal Track Safety (PTS) • IOSH Working or Managing Safely • Experience with Permit to Work (PTW) and RAMS • L8 Training
