Salary Grade: Scale 5, Spine Points 12-15
Actual Salary: £29,784.11 - £31,112.93  pro rata

Hours: 35 hours per week, Term Time Only (TTO)

Contract: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract, with the potential to become permanent

Golden Lane Children’s Centre, part of Prior Weston School, is located within the modern, purpose-built Golden Lane Campus. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Education Support Worker to join our Early Years team, working with children aged 0–4 years. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young children’s learning and development through high-quality childcare and education based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

About the Role

As an Early Years Education Worker, you will:

  • Support and develop the delivery of engaging and high-quality EYFS learning experiences.
  • Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children.
  • Support all children to access learning opportunities, adapting activities where appropriate to meet individual needs and promote inclusion.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet the individual needs of every child.
  • Encourage children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
  • Contribute to ensuring positive outcomes for all children in our care.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification recognised as full and relevant by the Department for Education.
  • Has a genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their learning and development.
  • Has a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Is committed to inclusion and ensuring every child can thrive and achieve their full potential.
  • Has experience of, or a strong commitment to, supporting children with a range of developmental, learning, and communication needs.
  • Understands the importance of celebrating diversity and promoting equality in the early years.
  • Values and respects the backgrounds, cultures, languages, and experiences of all children and families.
  • Is reliable, flexible, and able to use their initiative.
  • Works effectively as part of a team and builds positive relationships with children, colleagues, and families.
  • Demonstrates a caring, enthusiastic, and proactive approach.
  • Shares our commitment to providing the very best early years experiences and outcomes for all children.
