Milk Education is looking for compassionate and proactive Learning Support Assistants to work within welcoming secondary schools across Ellesmere Port. If you’re someone who enjoys building positive relationships, encouraging confidence and helping young people overcome barriers to learning, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers and students, providing tailored support that enables every learner to thrive both academically and personally.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.

• Helping pupils with SEND, SEMH or additional learning needs to access the curriculum.

• Encouraging independence, confidence and engagement in lessons.

• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning resources.

• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.

• Building trusting relationships with students, staff and families.

We would love to hear from candidates who have:

• Experience supporting children or young people in education, childcare, youth work or similar settings.

• A patient, empathetic and nurturing approach.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Confidence supporting students with a range of additional needs.

• A genuine passion for helping young people succeed.

• Relevant qualifications or transferable experience are desirable but not essential.
