Overview

We are working in partnership with a well-established SEMH primary school in Carshalton that supports pupils with SEMH needs and associated challenging behaviors. The school provides a structured, nurturing environment where every child is supported to achieve both academically and emotionally.

Age Range: Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2

Contract: Monday to Friday 8:30am To 4:00PM

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEMH needs

• Create a safe, nurturing, and structured classroom environment

• Implement personalised strategies to support emotional regulation and positive behaviour

• Build strong, consistent relationships that promote trust, confidence, and resilience

• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, pastoral teams, and external professionals

Candidate Profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2

• A strong understanding of SEMH and trauma-informed approaches

• Confident behaviour management skills

• A resilient, patient, and empathetic approach

Successful applicants must hold, or be willing to obtain, an enhanced DBS certificate. Full support will be provided throughout the process.
