HGV - Automotive Technician / Mechanic - Workshop Based - Manchester

We are seeking a skilled HGV Automotive Technician / Mechanic to join our workshop-based team in Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy goods vehicles, ensuring they are operating safely and efficiently. Key responsibilities include conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and performing necessary repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems. You will also be responsible for keeping accurate records of all work performed and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant qualification in automotive engineering or a related field, along with proven experience working with HGVs. Strong technical skills and a thorough understanding of vehicle systems are essential, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A valid driving license and relevant certifications, such as an NVQ or City & Guilds, will be advantageous.
