About the role

Contract: Permanent - Full time

Location: Hybrid – Lynton House, Ilford, with travel across the Local London sub-region

Support Delivery of an Employer-Led Skills System

Local London is establishing a new sub region Sector Hub to support a more employer led, coordinated approach to skills and employment across London.

Aligned to the Mayor’s Inclusive Talent Strategy and the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP), the Hub will bring together boroughs, providers and employers to improve how the system responds to workforce demand and connects residents to opportunities.

We are now recruiting Employer Engagement Officers to support delivery of this work across priority sectors.

Employer Engagement Officer – What You’ll Do

You will work directly with employers and partners to support delivery of the Sector Hub. This will include:

  • Building and maintaining relationships with employers across priority sectors
  • Understanding workforce needs, skills gaps and recruitment challenges
  • Supporting coordination of employer engagement across boroughs and partners
  • Contributing to alignment of provision and pathways to employer demand
  • Supporting delivery of sector-based pathways into employment
  • Recording activity, maintaining data and supporting reporting requirements
  • Supporting day-to-day delivery of Sector Hub activity

About You

You are organised, proactive and confident working with employers and partners.

You will bring:

  • Experience in an employer-facing or partnership role
  • Understanding of employment, skills or training provision
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to organise workload and support delivery
  • Confidence working with multiple stakeholders
