Job summary

We have two Vacancies for talented Senior Facilities Managers to cover an array of sites located within London. The Senior Facilities Manager is a key role within the DIO South East Regional Delivery Team. The role is high profile and challenging and is key in delivering effective hard and soft facilities management at establishments within the London area.

A SFM is responsible for the engagement and stakeholder management of high-profile customers across a variety of sites. Working in collaboration with the industry partners (IP), they will ensure effective delivery of key tasks including delivery of hard and soft facilities management services and high value infrastructure projects. They are responsible for continued delivery of operational requirements, maintaining statutory compliance of the estate and sustaining a collaborative relationship with the customer and Industry Partners.

The role reports to and works closely with the Area Manager, immediate peers as well as the wider DIO community. This is a full-time site-based role with frequent travel between sites.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

The position requires Developed Vetting and is eligible for Sole British Nationals only. Dual nationals are not eligible.

Job description

The Senior Facilities Manager role is responsible for the effective management of site delivery activities, key aspects of which are:

• Acting as the key customer interface and leading the engagement with Customers via key governance forums
• Management of sites within area of responsibility to ensure a culture of safety first, delivering value for money and expert advice
• Support to complex sites through provision of advice and estate management solutions
• Support the planning and delivering of reactive repairs, maintenance, project delivery and hard and soft FM services.
• Providing a visible presence to ensure effective customer communication and timely stakeholder management.
• Acting as the escalation point for issues raised and facilitating resolutions for significant operational or service delivery issues.
• Contract manage key suppliers, monitoring performance and holding them to account where appropriate.
• Effectively manage all site risks, ensuring consistent and timely documentation on the SPRITe Risk Register with appropriate mitigation plans in place.

Person specification

Essential Experience

• Facilities management or property-related commercial experience
• Experience in customer relationship management and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience managing local suppliers, including performance oversight and issue escalation.

Desirable Experience

• Ability to work with digital tools and data systems.
• Knowledge of statutory building processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.

Mandatory Full UK Driving Licence required due to essential travel to various sites.
