Head of Colleges

Location: This is a multi-site leadership role requiring regular travel across six locations. Flexibility is essential, including occasional early morning, evening, and off-site meetings.

Salary: £80,000–£85,000 + Benefits

The Opportunity

We’re supporting a leading specialist education provider to appoint a Head of Colleges. This is a newly created senior leadership opportunity, responsible for providing strategic leadership across a portfolio of specialist education services while holding executive responsibility for one flagship setting.

Working closely with the Director of Education, you’ll drive quality, operational performance, regulatory compliance, leadership development and organisational growth across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across a portfolio of education services.
• Lead and develop senior education leaders.
• Drive quality improvement and operational excellence.
• Oversee regulatory compliance, safeguarding and inspection readiness.
• Support financial performance, occupancy and sustainable growth.
• Build relationships with commissioners, Local Authorities and key stakeholders.
• Contribute to organisational strategy and future development.

About You You’ll bring:

• Significant senior leadership experience within specialist education.
• Experience leading post-16 SEND provision.
• Multi-site leadership experience.
• A strong track record of improving quality and educational outcomes.
• Experience working with regulators and commissioners.
• Outstanding leadership and stakeholder management skills.
