About the role
Join AlphaSights for a 12-month placement in London and gain direct experience of client service within an international, commercially focused business. You will work on live projects for leading investment funds, strategy consultancies and major global companies, connecting clients with the specialist knowledge they need. The placement provides early responsibility, structured training and exposure to senior leaders while developing transferable skills in communication, negotiation and project management. Strong performers may also be considered for a full-time position after graduation.
About AlphaSights
AlphaSights brings together ambitious people from around the world to work with leading investment funds, strategy consultancies and Fortune 500 companies. The business helps clients access specialist knowledge, strengthen their decision-making and make progress by connecting them with relevant experts across the world.
Founded in 2008, AlphaSights now has more than 2,000 professionals working across nine international cities. It has established itself as a leader in its market through a strong focus on client service and the integration of proprietary technology into its work.
The Role
During your placement in the Client Service team, you will act as the link between AlphaSights’ clients and its network of experts. You will manage several projects at once, supporting investors, strategists and dealmakers at leading client organisations.
This is a communication-focused frontline role that requires you to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing communications with experts, including screening and negotiating with relevant professionals to identify the most suitable matches for client requests.
- Developing an understanding of each project, its market context and the legal and regulatory environment in which clients and experts operate.
- Using AI-powered sourcing tools to map complex industry value chains and identify and engage relevant experts.
- Managing several client projects and workstreams at the same time.
- Building effective working relationships with clients, experts and colleagues.
The placement will introduce you to a wide range of industries and business challenges without limiting you to one particular profession or sector. You will develop transferable commercial and client management skills across professional communication, negotiation, persuasion, project management and time management.
You will also receive dedicated time with senior leadership and have the opportunity to deliver a business-related project to AlphaSights’ co-founder and Regional Head. Strong performance during the placement may lead to an offer to return to AlphaSights in a full-time role after graduation.
Company Culture
AlphaSights offers a fast-paced, target-driven working environment where people are expected to take responsibility and deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines. The Client Service team values resilience, a client-first mindset and a willingness to take action when challenges arise.
You will regularly learn new tools and workflows, including AI-supported technology designed to improve professional output. Training begins with the New Joiner Academy during your first few weeks and continues through practical coaching and experience on live projects.

- Performance-based pay with uncapped earning potential.
- 25 days of annual leave.
