Surgical Ward Nurse

Location – Central London 

Fulltime perm 37.5 hours a week. 

Salary – £32,000 – £39,400 per year (depending on exp)

Your role

• As a Staff Nurse on our Surgical Orthopaedics Ward, you’ll provide all-round nursing care to surgical and orthopaedics patients, both pre- and post-surgery.
• You’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary team with surgical specialties including orthopaedics, ENT, plastics, aesthetics, abdominal surgery, breast surgery, and others.

What you’ll do

• Help to deliver a consistent, safe service in all aspects of the patient journey
• Liaise with Support Services to make sure all patients’ non-clinical needs are met, including cultural, sexual, religious, and any special needs
• Work as part of our team and be responsible for the care we deliver
• Recognise the need for DOLs assessments, mental capacity assessments, and ‘simple’ and ‘complex’ safeguarding referrals
• Take part in clinical audits as required by the Sister / Charge Nurse
